Introducing e-learning to vocational education in Ethiopia

GTZ organised a workshop on “ICTs for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ethiopia”.

Dr. Teklehaimanot Haileselassie, Vice-Minister of the Ethiopian Ministry of Education addresses the 40 participants.

Dr. Horst Sommer, GTZ representative of the German- Ethio TVET Programme talked about the important role of ICT for improving the vocational teacher training in Ethiopia. Leopold Reif then gave a lecture on the potentials of e-learning in an African context. Later on working groups of the participants, representing Ethiopian educational institutions drafted outlines on how e-learning should improve their work.
